On being designated an 'Official' site in our Links Directory:

This resource should be short, as it is there to locate established gaming companies and official sites related to them so the criteria for that list is pretty narrow.

Independent gaming companies are eligible if they've actually put out more than one working, finished and polished game. Preferably three or more products. These items should be for sale, not free. (Although, as with anything a free, a vendor might make it if their product is very, very good.)

Lone fantasy artists are not eligible, unless they happen to be Tony DiTerlizzi (et al. Household names only). The same thing goes for authors as well.

If you think this categorization is too narrow for something, contact Effie to see what can be possibly done. (Effie's Opinion: Another Icon could be created for these in-betweener sites, but the Official page itself should be kept clean. At least that's my view of it. Yours is welcome.)
