[FAQ] Amber Quill Selection Criteria
The Amber Quill is designed to recognize quality creative writing, rather than factual, resource-based content. In English, it recognizes exciting, involved and fluid game play rather than rules and background. Only actual game play logs (or archives) are considered for the AQ award.

Hi,
I'm a moderator at Worlde Arcane, it's a Freeform fantasy RPG that has been running for several years.
I'm not aiming to earn our site any awards, but I'm hoping that you'd give it a look and make your comments be they good or bad.
Personally I like the site as it uses the discus forum application which allows a lot of nested sub-forums/threads. Most play-by-post RPGs don't seem to use this or any similar method.
Anyway, awaiting your comments...

Hello,
About eight years ago, this game ranked in the Die Roller's Top 100. It was originally part one of a trilogy and closed to open the second portion in 2003; things have changed, and this first portion of the game reverted to the original owner, me.
It was originally dice-based, and has now gone freeform, for ease of use. The rules have been relaxed and it's more for enjoyment's sake than technicality-based. I prefer the creative play over dice determining one's fate these days, for this particular game.
How to keep an RPG PbP Board Alive
So, you have had a board for a while now. The story has been going along well and suddenly people get busy and stop posting. A major thread is frozen and nothing goes forward. Players leave or find other places to be and the board dies. Here are some tips, I have found work for me, to help you get through the dry posting periods and perhaps even avoid a complete halt to the story.
